Spring Tips
Here's a few helpful tips to guide your through spring with your pet.
Countryside walks
be sure to keep your dogs on leads walking through fields with livestock, most will be pregnant this time of year
Flowers
As temperatures rise, we begin to see spring bulbs bloom. Bulbs often have a higher concentration of nutrients than leaves or flowers, so can be more dangerous for your pet. When gardening, keep your pets away from any bulbs or flowers, and call your vet straight away if you think your pet has eaten any part of a toxic plant. Also be mindful of bees, try to keep your pets away to avoid a painful sting
Gardening
Cleaning the patio? Try to use pet safe products, if this isn’t possible, keep pets off for 24-48 hours. Giving the fences a lick of paint? Again, make sure to keep pets away from harmful fumes and toxic surfaces

Daylight saving
On the last Sunday in March, the clocks go forward an hour, meaning we have an hour less in bed. This can be tricky for our pet’s body clock to adjust to, a gradual change over a few days can help.
Flea and worming treatment
Whilst important all year round, spring and summer is when they are most active. Speak to us at PetShed or your vet for advice and the right treatment for your pet.
Easter
